Yoga with Kristin HoneyClasses are based in the flowing tradition of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga fused with alignment principles, philosophy and heart. Ashtanga Yoga is an ancient and traditional system of Hatha Yoga composed of a series of asana (postures) linked by a series of connecting movements (vinyasa). Breath and movement are synchronized and mindful. In these classes, we practice asana beyond the set sequences of the Ashtanga tradition focusing on foundation, strength, alignment, form and consciousness. You will be challenged in a safe communal environment that promotes self study, breath and awareness. Props are provided to ensure modification of poses and accessibility to the diverse needs of varying experiences, shapes and strengths. It is highly recommended that you attend the Intro course before attempting higher level classes, especially if new to Yoga or this style of practice.
